Youth Fassstpitch Tournament Rules

Current USSSA fast pitch rules apply along with the following:

~No new inning will start after one hour and 30 minutes.  (When field availability permits, the time limit for the "Championship Game" and/or "If Game" will be one hour and 30 minutes)..

~Game time is forfeit time.  Coaches are responsible for checking the tournament bracket board through out the tournament.  Any changes will be posted in a timely manner.

~The following run rules will apply in all games (including the "Championship" and/or "If Game").
     12 runs after 2 1/2 or 3 innings
     10 runs after 3 1/2 or 4 innings
       8 runs after 4 1/2 or 5 innings

~If any game is tied, either after 7 innings or when time has expired, the player who is scheduled to bat last that inning will start at second base.

~Only one coach is allowed on the field while their team is on defense. The coach must be mobile.  This exception is allowed for defensive coaching purposes only and may be rescinded by the umpire.

~Tie breakers to determine pool winners will be as follows:
     1.     Overall record
     2.     Head to head competition
     3.     Least runs allowed teams tied with
     4.     Least runs allowed overall
     5.     Total runs scored overall in pool play
     6.     Coin flip
Note:     Once the above tie breaker process eliminates one team form a multiple team tie, the process starts over with the teams remaining.

~The tournament Director reserves the right to:
     1. Change the tournament format or schedule if unforeseen circumstances arise.
     2. Waive or delay the second game suspension of an ejected coach.

~The tournament director will decide any rule not specifically covered in the USSSA Fassstpitch rulebook.

10 and Under Tournament Rules

Current USSSA Fast Pitch rules and Arizona USSSA FASSSTPITCH tournament rules will be in effect along with the following:

~If a batter strikes out and the catcher drops the ball, the batter is out.  The ball remains alive for the purpose of throwing the advancing runner out.
